I’d be a wonderful family companion!  Just look at how I’m sitting on command, waiting patiently for a treat.  Xena is my name and I hope you’ll continue reading!  I’m a 6-year-old Shepherd mix who recently lost my home.  I’m a mellow girl who is very sweet to people.  I love to be touched and rubbed and I have the prettiest smile.  As for my health, I am spayed, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention.  I’m also house-trained and leash-trained.  SOAR has an obedience trainer who comes out weekly to help us with our basic obedience skills, and I’m doing great, as you can see from my ‘sit’ position.  I’d like a home with adults only, or one with mature teenagers who know how to behave properly around dogs (after all, who likes getting their tail pulled?)  A home with a retired couple would be perfect!  If you’d like to meet me so I can demonstrate my sitting skills for you, please call SOAR at 910-457-6340.  See you soon!
