Now how did a stray boy from Florida find his way to Southport, NC?  Just lucky, I guess!  The kind folks who found me in Florida also had a home here, and when they couldn’t find a family for me there, SOAR agreed to take me in!  My name is Petey and I’m a 2-year-old Terrier mix who is the sweetest guy around.  I will sit on command (as you can see from my photo) and am friendly to everyone I meet.  I am excellent with kids and I am good on a leash.  I love taking long walks with my human friends and I’m also very social with other dogs.  Now don’t share this with my dog friends, but I’m actually a little scared of cats.  I don’t mess with them and totally let them rule, so the SOAR folks believe I’d be just fine in a home with kitties.  I am fully house-trained, too, so there is no worries there.  I am small-sized, maybe 35 pounds, and I have the cutest little underbite!  I am neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention.  If you’d like to bless me with a wonderful home, please call SOAR at 910-457-6340.  I hope to see you soon!
